Leadership Development

A proven approach, tailored to your team

Feeling bombarded by thought leaders and platforms promising the next best thing in leadership development? We get it.

Our approach cuts through the noise, combining technical change – the development of new skills – with the adaptive change, or change in mindsets, needed to make the new skills stick.

Our leadership development programs focus on:

  • Setting the Stage – a leader’s ability to establish a compelling vision for the future, mobilize the team with clear direction and purpose, and create an inclusive environment where people feel safe to contribute and have opportunities to develop
  • Guiding Work – a leader’s ability to set clear priorities, delegate effectively, make decisions, and role-model good work routines
  • Managing Self – a leader’s ability to regulate one’s own emotions, time, and energy; successfully manage relationship interactions, and operate with self- awareness and curiosity

Our programs incorporate:

  • Group learning for skills development
  • Experiential learning for internalization of new concepts
  • Group coaching for application of the frameworks and ideas in real life
  • Peer-to-peer learning and support

Finally, we take into account your organization's specific context and tailor our programs to address your most urgent leadership skill gaps.

Our core leadership beliefs

The bar for “good leadership” is low

Too often, people are promoted to leadership positions based on their prior success rather than their leadership ability. As a result, many new leaders lack essential skills – self-awareness, decision-making, and communication, to name a few – hindering their and their teams’ success.

Actions speak louder than words

All day, every day, leaders are consciously and unconsciously communicating expectations to their team. Burning the midnight oil at the office and sending weekend emails? Blowing off meetings or routinely joining 15 minutes late? Grilling the team on the tiniest details of every project? For better or worse, these actions speak volumes.

Leaders must go first

Simply communicating expectations isn’t enough. The signals leaders send about what matters and how to behave are the single greatest influence on organizational behavior. If leaders themselves don't embody the desired behaviors, lasting change and continuous growth won’t happen. Leaders must be willing to self-examine and challenge their own perceptions to truly lead by example.

It’s best to work on the team while working on the work

Developing leadership capacity within the context of real work is more effective and efficient than traditional methods. This involves integrating real business challenges into leadership development, creating a shared vocabulary through assessment tools and individual coaching, and offering real-time feedback and group coaching to the leadership team.

Technology aids leadership, but leading people is innately human

AI is transforming the workplace by speeding up processes and boosting productivity, making its integration into leadership essential. But people leaders lead people. The role requires irreplaceable human skills like curiosity, deep thinking, and anticipation. In an increasingly uncertain world, a leader’s ability to navigate change, conflict, and the unknown is more crucial than ever.
